Swedish Massage Back to Top
Swedish Massage is a popular and very relaxing therapeutic style of bodywork, making it perfect for those new to massage. Using oil or lotion, the therapist will warm up the body and proceed with a variety of strokes such as kneading, gliding, friction and compression. The techniques used are determined by what is felt in the muscles.
The client lies on a heated, cushioned massage table and is covered with a sheet, which is draped in a way as to expose only the body part being worked on. The amount of clothing worn is always determined by the comfort level of the client and each session is tailored to meet their needs.
The benefits of this type of massage are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved circulation and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage Back to Top
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. This type of massage is an effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. The therapist uses different parts of the hands and arms to apply deeper pressure where necessary. Due to the nature of this work, open communication during the session is encouraged to ensure the client's comfort.
Muscle soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and drinking plenty of water is recommended to aid in flushing and removing toxins from the system. Often, a series of treatments may be necessary to achieve the best results.

Reflexology Back to Top
Reflexology focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.
Sports Massage Back to Top
Sports Massage is designed for highly active people who engage in athletics but it is also great for the Weekend Warrior. Participating in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. This type of massage includes stretching and movements of joints in arms and legs. Sports massage is best when done on a weekly basis. Sessions of 30-60 minutes are ideal to focus on the muscles that are primarily used. The goal is to maintain good muscle tone to prevent strain & injury, as well as to help sore muscles and joints to recover by flushing toxins from the system and increasing circulation.
Pre- Event Sports Massage enhances performance by helping to warm and stretch the muscles and increase flexibility, which reduces the risk of injury. It also relaxes the mind, allowing for better concentration and focus. Post-Event Sports Massage helps muscles return to normal tone and can dramatically improve recovery rates. These sessions are shorter in duration and are priced accordingly.
