We are a local massage studio dedicated to helping our clients fit regular massage into their schedules and budgets. Massage and other forms of body work are often viewed as a luxury, however we believe that it is a necessary part of maintaining the body, mind and spirit.
We offer all therapeutic massages and energy work in sessions of 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. We strive to create a relaxing environment for our clients from the moment they walk in. We pride ourselves on providing personalized service for each individual's unique needs.

NATURALLY BALANCING MASSAGE
We use a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, and Myofascial stretch techniques in most of our 60-120 minute massages. What we do and the amount of pressure applied to a particular body part is determined by what you tell us and by what we observe and feel.

Traditional swedish massage is a great choice for overall relaxation as it puts the body back into a state of "Rest & Digest". Slow rhythmic strokes combined with gentle joint movements helps to thoroughly relax tense muscles. Excellent choice for those who prefer a light to medium touch.

This type of massage helps to loosen and reeducate tight "knotty" muscles through gradual increased pressure to the deeper muscle layers. It is highly effective for-decompressing sore tight, "stuck" muscles. Trigger point work is a deep technique that pinpoints adhesions or trigger points commonly referred to as "knots" and attempts to loosen and eventually dissolve them. This is not done without prior discussion.

30 minutes of concentrated work on specific areas of your choice. Head, neck and shoulders: relieves tension to help melt away the cares of the day. Legs and feet: ankle, knee and hip joints are mobilized while promoting circulation to rejuvenate your tired, aching lower half. Arms and hands: helps to decrease swelling and knots in arm muscles while increasing ROM in finger, wrist, elbow and shoulder joints. Hips and low back: aims to relieve low back strain and balance the pelvic area to keep your core strong.
The techniques, positioning and draping of this massage are used to create a safe and effective session for the mom-to-be. Our certified prenatal massage therapist will conduct a thorough intake to ensure that massage is appropriate Benefits include stress relief, which is very important for a healthy pregnancy, reduction of neck, back and hip discomfort, increased circulation and decreased swelling in the extremities. Special consideration is also given to those who are up to 10 weeks postpartum.
Relax and be pampered side by side with a loved one. 60 or 90 minute massages are given in a spacious, candlelit, relaxing atmosphere. Each client consults with his/her therapist to ensure the type of massage given is best suited to their needs. Appointments must be made in advance.
Sports massage is tailored to athletes and weekend warriors alike. Sports participation is rough on the body but massage enhances performance and helps to prevent injury. It also helps to reduce pain and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and improve recovery rates.
Is a quick way of relieving stress and releasing tension in muscles. You receive your massage fully clothed while seated in a specially designed chair. No lotion is used and we don't mess up your hair, unless you want us to!

Meet our therapists
Lynne believes in the importance of breaking the cycle of chronic stress because resetting the body is the first step to becoming balanced again. She has developed a special interest in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety and PTSD. She finds that integrating Reiki into these sessions has a profoundly calming effect on her clients. As a big advocate of hydrotherapy, she helps her clients understand it’s uses and other natural ways to promote wellness. Lynne enjoys going out into the community to educate the public on the health benefits of massage and looks forward to expanding the Natural Balance clientele.
Hiking, yoga and cooking are some of her favorite past times. Lynne also enjoys reading and creative writing.
Dottie’s clients appreciate her slow relaxing style combined with firm direct pressure when necessary. She has given chair massage at various sports and corporate events and often speaks to office workers, athletes and her regular clients about the importance of stretching and correct posture. She is certified in prenatal massage and enjoys helping moms relax through pregnancy and beyond.
Dottie is our “ crafty” person; she sews, makes candles, paints and is willing to try her hand at anything artistic.
Andrea enjoys helping her clients with the ancient healing art of reflexology as well as traditional massage techniques. She has advanced training in trigger point release and blends this modality with acupressure and stretching for improved postural alignment. Andrea believes improving overall posture and balance is important to long-lasting health and greater well-being.
Outside of work Andrea enjoys shopping, church activities and spending time with her seven grandchildren.
Heather is our resident “veteran” having become a licensed therapist in 1996. Through the years of practice she has developed a variety of massage techniques making her style adaptable to all her client’s needs. As the mother of a special needs child, Heather understands the importance of caring for the caregiver and frequently suggests self care ideas such as stretches, relaxation techniques and therapy tools.
In her free time, Heather enjoys quiet moments walking or reading and spending time with family.
Even before joining our team, Lisa was helping children and adults find their balance as a swim instructor! She enjoys working with clients that have chronic muscle tension or those in need of some serious relaxation. Lisa enjoys using heat on her clients to help ease their tightness and relax them. She also enjoys helping clients who suffer from headaches. In the future Lisa plans to return to school to pursue a degree in physical therapy.
In her spare time she can be found hiking, enjoying a concert or poolside in lifeguard mode.
Health and wellness is Bonnie’s passion. On her journey to get fit and lose weight she became a certified natural hygiene coach, a certified yoga instructor and a licensed massage therapist! She loves her work and finds joy in helping her clients feel better and live heathier lifestyles.
Cooking, practicing yoga, hiking and exploring new places are some of Bonnie’s favorite activities.
Jenna loves working with athletes! She enjoys giving sports massage and incorporates stretching into her other massage styles as well. Whether a client requires light touch or deep pressure Jenna is up for the challenge of relieving pain and reducing stress. As a member of the AMTA CT Chapter sports team Jenna has participated in many events giving pre and post-event massage to the athletes. She is also experienced in giving chair massage at various corporate and charity events.
In Jenna's free time she likes to work out, meditate and spend time with family and friends.
